I was tempted to entitle this chapter “Writing User Stories.” The reason I decided against it is the work of creating user stories entails much more than just writing. It requires collaboration among the product owner, team, customers, and others; it involves communicating the business meaning behind the story; and it emphasizes how the user story is much more than a written artifact. It is, instead, a promise for a continued conversation.
