Chapter 5. Evening
The day is winding down, and the Peterson family is headed home and then out on the town. Apple Watch doesn’t get the evening off, helping with everything from getting directions, viewing boarding passes, and listening to music.
Maps
The Maps app on Apple Watch depends on the paired iPhone for both GPS and a data connection. If the iPhone is out of range, the Maps app won’t be of much value to anyone. However, with the iPhone in range the Maps app is very helpful. Not only can you find your current location, but you can get walking and driving directions to businesses, addresses, and even arbitrary points on the maps.
