The Sharing and Clarifying Meeting
Whenever possible, we encourage people to take the feedback back to the raters and share and clarify the results with them. Several benefits can be gained from discussing the feedback, in a constructive way, with the people who gave it or with members of the respondent group such as colleagues and direct reports, even if they did not complete a questionnaire. First, the discussion both confirms the recipient’s hypothesis and provides information about how to act on the feedback. Second, it sends a message that the feedback was taken seriously and that the recipient intends to use it for personal development.
