Drawing Other Curved Shapes
Circles and ovals are the most fundamental curved shapes, but there are many other kinds of curved shapes you will use regularly when drawing. Let’s take a look at some.
Ovoids
An ovoid is an ovular shape with one end more pointed than the other, like an egg. If we draw a line through the long axis of an egg, going through both the more rounded end and the more pointed end, you can see that this long axis acts as a line of symmetry, as one side mirrors the other. But unlike an oval, the perpendicular axis line of an ovoid does not act as a line of symmetry because the top and bottom are different.
