The Cube

The final fundamental volume you will learn to draw is the cube. A cube is a volume with six flat, square planes. These square planes meet at right angles. Before we explore the cube, we need to understand a few basic concepts about linear perspective. Linear perspective is a system used to represent objects on a flat surface, so they appear to be volumetric objects existing in space.

First, we need to understand the horizon line. Imagine looking straight out in front of you, not up or down, but directly outward.
