Abstract

Investigative interviewing is about having a conversation that results in gathering new information. You might think that success comes only from obtaining a confession, but there is so much more you can glean from fruitful conversations. Having a conversation might sound easy, but as an investigator or interviewer, you must be prepared for each conversation. Preparation is the single most important aspect to a successful interview.
