You are giving when you experience any emotion on a visible level. This affects the other actor, who then has the responsibility to be aware— to be receiving—and to deal with what you are feeling. Giving and Receiving are intertwined and inseparable. If you are angry and you direct that anger to your fellow actor, you are giving. It means having an emotional experience and sharing it with the other actor. You give her your emotion, which she receives. It stimulates her and helps her create an emotional response to ...
