E.1 Conflicts and Organisations

All organisations tend to have several conflicts within them and with other companies. These conflicts have various origins, such as different values and beliefs, emotional unrest, perception of limited resources, and diverse goals, among others. Some conflicts are internal, which include the same area or different areas within a company (e.g., marketing, finance, etc.). Other conflicts are external, for example, between an organisation and its external stakeholders (suppliers, intermediaries, etc.). Companies use different techniques (negotiation, lawsuits, mediation, etc.) to solve these conflicts.
