EMBODY THE GENERAL

Sun Tzu is often studied in the context of leadership, and for good reason. He calls for his general to have such attributes as boldness, decisiveness, foresight, disciplined organization, resource stewardship, and sensitivity to the army. This extends to proper care of defeated armies, as we saw in the previous chapter. Sun Tzu is not singularly concerned with winning the battles that are before him. Like you, he’s concerned with the long game.
