SELECTING DISPLAY TYPE FOR LARGE POINT SIZES
Display type uses many of the same design principles as text type, but since its primary purpose is to attract attention, additional factors must be considered, especially, its usage and its audience.
Also, consider the relationship between the text type and the display type. If a harmonious relationship is desired, select type from the same family as the text type for the heads, but set it larger and in a bolder weight. For contrast, use a typeface from a different family of type, but make the contrast obvious—a bold sans serif with a roman serif text font, a bold serif with a roman sans serif text font, or a decorative font with either a serif or sans serif text font.
