CHAPTER 7: PREPARATION AND EVASION

In the modern era, it is impossible to evade the enemy entirely. Automated ‘bots’ seek out weak and vulnerable systems/organisations and go to war on them almost without human intervention. Such is the nature of cyber warfare. Therefore, we must assume that the enemy is always willing to attack us, irrespective of who we are. If we accept this assumption and accept that they are of superior strength to us (as there is no way of knowing if they are or not), then we have no other choice than to be prepared for the battle that is sure to come.
