One of the most sophisticated toolsets within the Avid editor is the color-correction toolset. Within color correction you have access to a wide range of controls and adjustments that let you make fine adjustments to the “look” of the images in your program. Avid Media Composer and Avid NewsCutter share a basic version of this toolset while Avid Symphony contains a more advanced version. In this chapter we’ll look at both sets of tools but focus our attention primarily on the version in Media Composer and NewsCutter.
