Welcome to Stage Four, which is the stage where you are awakened. In many ways, this is the most difficult to describe. The earlier stages allow you to awaken into them and transcend them. As you read those earlier chapters, you probably had pops in awareness. You probably transcended some old ways of thinking; but in this stage, you awaken almost by grace.
I want to lead you in that direction so you fully understand what to look for, and I want to guide you into setting up the parameters that actually allow this to happen. Again, this is beyond surrender. This is the stage where you awaken to being the Divine itself. Stay with me, because I know, at first glance, that concept is a little bit confusing and challenging, but let me walk you through it.
The Witness
Right now, as you're reading this, you know you have thoughts. We went through the exercise, in an earlier chapter, where you realized that you're not your thoughts; but let's go past that. You also have a body. Maybe your body feels good. Maybe you like your body. Maybe it's a little achy in some places. Maybe you need to stretch; but notice, you're not your body. You are aware of your body. You are aware of your thoughts; but you're not your thoughts and you're not your body. Also notice that you have feelings. You have emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, rage, uneasiness, ...
