This chapter provides summary information about major associations, agencies, and organizations engaged in the development and dissemination of standards, certifications, or procedures and guidelines related to IT auditing. The material in this chapter serves primarily as a point of reference to help readers identify organizations, audit standards, and auditor certifications relevant to their own IT audit needs. The organizations included here do not (in general) perform audits, but instead have supporting or oversight roles in the practice of IT auditing at national or international levels.
