XE among Asian non-financial institutions: c.1991–2017
Abstract
Among non-financial institutions are Chinese agriculture. The shift in land and farm ownership to individuals is shown to be responsible for a significant increase in agricultural productivity. Ownership form is also shown to have a larger role in productivity growth than traditional economic inputs. Mergers in telecommunications firms in Taiwan are shown to have no positive effect or a negative effect on efficiency. The tourist hotel industry in Taiwan and Taiwan police are shown to have a relatively high level of X-efficiency. Smaller firms in Taiwan are shown to be more X-efficient than larger firms.
