THIS PACKAGE TELLS of the disaster through many human stories in little scenes from
throughout the city. It manages not to be redundant despite the large amount of
coverage. They cover the story from many different angles, particularly
photographically. For one day’s coverage of breaking news, there are few flaws and the
pacing is excellent.
ESTE PAQUETE INFORMATIVO RELATA el desastre a través de muchas historias
humanas en pequeñas escenas a lo largo de la ciudad. Consigue no ser redundante

ÉSTE ES UN EXCEPCIONAL EJEMPLO de la expansión de los límites. La foto es
llamativa; podríamos pasar 20 minutos mirándola. Ningún otro periódico que
vimos tuvo esta foto en su primera página. Puede ser difícil para un
diseñador mantenerse al margen y no entrometerse en una fotografía de
excelencia. Este diseñador hizo lo correcto y probablemente tuvo que vender la
idea a los editores.
THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE of stretching the boundaries. The photo is
arresting; we could spend 20 minutes looking at it. No other paper we saw had
this photo on the front page. It can be hard for a designer to step back and not
get in the way of great photography; this designer did the right thing and
probably had to sell it to the editors.

These pages are put together in a consistent and intentional
way. It’s a uniform body of work that functions as one, yet
individually the pages hold up. The pacing moves from slow and
dense up front, to a quick selection of photos in the back. The
choices they make are not obvious; they seem to challenge and
know their audience.
