Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld resigned this year amid harsh criticism of his starring role in the Iraq War. Considered by many to be the preeminent war engineer, Rumsfeld stepping down marked the end of an era for the Bush White House. Most cartoonists weren’t too upset to see Rummy finally go, and they were happy to give him one more joke for the road.
