With the 2008 presidential race wide open for the taking, the campaigning started early this year. The candidates came from all (silver-spooned) walks of life: a Mormon, a woman, an African American, a television actor, a former mayor of New York City, and a man with absolutely no chance (well, a few of those). This all made for a year’s worth of op/ed cracks–from Obama girl to “fresh-faced” Fred Thompson.
