About this Book

Why do we have so many cartoons about the lovesick-diaper-astronaut compared to cartoons about Iraq? Because that’s what the cartoonists really drew this year. We’ve found that cartoonists like to pick their most “important” cartoons, so asking for cartoonists for submissions gets us lots of cartoons about Iraq, President Bush and civil rights, and not the cartoons that were drawn about celebrities and popular culture. Our book reflects what cartoonists really drew in 2007, in the correct proportions.
