President Obama hit the ground running when he entered office in 2009. He had to deal with the struggling economy and develop a stimulus package that both parties would find acceptable. The bailout crisis put added pressure on him and his cabinet, which was also creating its own challenges. But despite low approval ratings of his plans and policies, the President’s overall rating was still positive. Perhaps it had something to do with more news focusing on his family’s decision about their dog.
