Chapter . Terror In India
Coordinated attacks and bombings terrorized Mumbai, India’s largest city, on November 26, 2008. The three-day assault targeted major hotels, popular cafés, a transportation terminal, and taxi cabs, killing 150 people and wounding another 300. Many people, including foreign travelers, were held hostage until the last hotel was seized on November 29. The ten attackers were part of a militant terrorist group that sought to “save” Muslims and force the region to be entirely Islamic.
