Abstract
The accumulator is a one-way function that can provide membership proofs without revealing any individual member in the underlying set. It can be used in many other cryptographic primitives such as commitments and ring signatures for building blocks. The main functionalities for the accumulator, i.e., membership witness, nonmembership witness, and dynamics. In this chapter, we summarize the existing accumulator schemes according to the properties and requirements.
