In 1995, Mary Meeker released “The Internet Report,” a 200-page document outlining trends on the internet. Perhaps for the first time on a broad scale, this report brought financial data on internet-based companies to the public. This was information that typically only investors could see or comprehend. Her simple, comprehensive, and digestible format thrust Meeker center stage, recognized not only by those in the tech industry, but by the average individual as well.
