About the Author
Dr. Kieran O’Mahony is Founder of the Institute for Connecting Neuroscience with Teaching and Learning. As a learning scientist with a focus on cognitive neuroscience, he participated in groundbreaking research at the University of Washington’s College of Education and the LIFE Center, the first NSF-funded Science of Learning Center in the study of the social aspects of learning and how children learn. His work is substantively applicable for teachers in their pedagogy, their classroom management, and their social and emotional stance in diverse learning spaces.
