The Most Vulnerable among Us

As I’ve said before, burnout is a “we” problem to solve. There are systemic problems within the organization that are causing people to get sick. But specific roles and sectors are more prone to burnout. And certain personalities put someone at further risk. It’s important to identify that multiple factors are at play, because when they’re combined, they can be catastrophic.

In his article, “Staff Burn-out,” Herbert J. Freudenberger lists personality factors that may mean that one person will suffer burnout more than another.
