NOTES

We conducted surveys of Fortune 500 communications professionals in 2001 for the first edition of “The Business Style Handbook” (McGraw-Hill, 2002) and again for the second edition in 2013 (McGraw-Hill, 2013). This stylebook incorporates their combined expertise. To find more information on the surveys and to see the names of the individuals who participated, see the Acknowledgments.
