No Shortage of Paperwork

If you are interested in becoming a Motion Picture Camera Assistant to avoid some “civilian” (“noncinema”) occupation because of all the paperwork, then you have made a BIG mistake.

There is plenty of paperwork here, more than enough to go around! Also, the bigger the budget, the more paperwork there will be. It must be some sort of punishment for wanting to work on the big-budget feature films.

The Second Camera Assistant's first duty is to assist the First Assistant with all the duties listed in an earlier chapter for the First Camera Assistant, but in addition, he or she must do all the paperwork, and there's a great deal of paperwork on a feature; Camera Reports, Film Raw Stock Inventories, Laboratory ...
