5First Assistant Cameraman (1st AC)
After two or three years, you probably will move up from Second Assistant Cameraman (2nd AC) to First Assistant Cameraman (1st AC). In Britain, Europe, and Australia, the 1st AC is usually referred to as the Focus Puller. During production the 1st AC works directly with the 2nd AC, the Camera Operator, and especially the Director of Photography (DP).
The position of 1st AC requires great attention to detail. The 1st AC should stay as close as possible to the DP during shooting and be prepared for any number of requests.
