Life is all about teamwork. Whether it's in a marriage, friendship, NCT group, or the boardroom, we all have to embrace our differences and find a way to work together for an end, a shared goal.
Sometimes it takes work to find that chemistry, and sometimes fate intervenes.
In 2022, I was lucky enough to take part in a six-week intensive course at the University of Cambridge, called the Wealth Economy. It's a framework for sustainable prosperity beyond GDP. In simple terms, we count wealth in monetary terms, like pounds and dollars. But, actually, wealth is many other things. It's knowledge capital. It's human capital. It's social capital. It's natural capital. How do we measure that? It's far more difficult as it is classed as intangible.
My tutor for this course, Dr Sangaralingam Ramesh, introduced me to Dr Adel Dalal, who at the time was a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL. Adel got her PhD in Russia (Higher School of Economics) and has a background in sustainable finance, supervising students' research at UCL and HSE, and being a member of CFA UK Society, she's currently obtaining a certificate in ESG investing.
The creative connection we made really hammered home to me that in life, sometimes you have these weird chance meetings.
