Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.
Several years ago, I was invited to a fundraiser by a friend and business associate. He was calling in a favor, and this event was for a good cause. It was called the ADD Holiday Celebration. December is a busy month, with time spent getting ready for family vacations, buying gifts, and trying to wind up the year with that final push to maximize sales and profits. Nevertheless, I wrote the check and decided to go to this event anyway.
