HABITS

Habits are formed to fulfill or meet a need. You have good habits and you have bad habits. Both are accomplishing the fundamental task of fulfilling a need. Various studies argue exactly how much of our behavior is simply habit, but they mostly agree it is a significant number (more than 35 percent).

The needs that are fulfilled by habits are either emotional or physical, and sometimes a combination of both. Scientists theorize that habits are also formed to enable the brain to function more easily.
