So Who Cares?

There are at least four groups of people who are critical to your professional development. They are coworkers, centers of influence, vendors, and clients. How much do you care about each of these groups? While writing this, I just received another request from a client. He asked me to meet pro bono with a graduate student trying to figure out his future. I have often mentored students, clients’ spouses, and others. I love to do it, and it has provided me with a substantial flow of business referrals for many years. For me, it relates to integrity. I know many high-profile business leaders who feel the same way.
