Entrepreneurship in a Highly Regulated Sector. Huang Ying, Bank of Beijing
Huang Ying is the President of the Bank of Beijing’s Pinggu branch (www.bankofbeijing.com.cn). Pinggu lies at the extreme northeastern end of Beijing municipality, in a beautiful mountainous area, bordering Tianjin municipality. Named “China’s Hometown of the Peach,” Pinggu is one of the main agricultural bases in Beijing. Agricultural products include peaches, persimmons, and seedless watermelons. Because the Bank of Beijing’s Pinggu branch is about eighty kilometers northeast of Beijing, Huang Ying often drives herself to Beijing for meetings.
