Abstract

Current economies are still predominantly based on a linear model characterized by mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal patterns. Globally, a general consensus about the need to shift from such wasteful model to a more sustainable economic model is reached, and CE is positioning itself as the most reliable, mature, and applicable concept. But, some of us are still wondering as to how urgent is this paradigm shift, or at least can “we” wait until seeing what the others are doing?
