The Inculcation Calculation
Today’s the day when Joe gets to be initiated into the inner workings of finance real politik.
He’s been summoned up to the thirteenth floor, an isolated fortress beyond the gaze of the company’s regular surveillance cameras. Joe’s destination is Fat Sid’s office, a vast sanctum whose floor-to-ceiling windows project a panoramic view of the busy city below. Dotted around the room Joe finds a few pieces of kitsch silver chrome furniture finished off in plush black leather. Tucked into a distant corner, it’s just possible to make out a full-size pool table.
