Finishing. It can be a dirty word for creatives. How many of us creatives have a pile of long-lost projects that we started and never finished? For me, it’s more than I’d like to admit. The reality is that unfinished work is synonymous with doing creative work. My role as a coach is to support clients in shifting their relationship with finishing. Far too many times, I have witnessed client after client give themselves head trash over why they didn’t finish, rationalizing it, overexplaining it and using excuses. Yet these excuses only prolong finishing.
