COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The World Intellectual Property Organization defines intellectual property as products that “refer to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names, and images used in commerce.” You can think of IP as being the basis for copyright law.
