It may not be the most fun, but budgeting may actually be the most important aspect of making a digital video.
Whether you’re planning to shoot a wedding or a feature, one of the most important steps in preparing to make any movie is to get a basic idea of what it will cost. Because unexpected costs can—and do—come up during production, the initial budget you prepare will likely just be an estimate. A final budget will be prepared once the project gets the go ahead (“green lighted”) with a schedule attached.
