We are now transitioning from the Define phase of Lean Six Sigma to the Measure phase. Remember that the goal of Define is to identify just what’s wrong with your process. The goal of Measure extends this to include figuring out just how bad your process is. We know this sounds harsh, but if all your processes were running perfectly, you wouldn’t need Lean Six Sigma.
