Upgrading hosts with VUM

VUM allows you to upgrade an ESXi host from a previously supported version to the current version.

The first step is the creation of the baseline so that you can attach the hosts to upgrade:

From vSphere Web Client, select Home | Update Manager and select the vCenter Server instance you wish to configure. Select the Manage tab.
Navigate to ESXi Images and click the Import ESXi Image button to import the image file that's used to upgrade the ESXi hosts.
From the wizard, click on the BROWSE button and select the ISO file to use for the upgrade, and then click Next to upload the image into VUM.
