There is a remarkable documentary called Citizen Václav Havel Goes on Vacation about the Czech dissident and playwright who went on to become the first president of the Czech Republic after the fall of the Soviet Union. Both terrifying and absurd, the movie is about his vacation in 1985, trying to show what life was like under the constant surveillance and intimidation of the state police (StB). During his vacation, Havel is tailed everywhere.
