Overview
This chapter introduces a very important new toolkit – the OpenVINO toolkit by Intel. The OpenVINO toolkit is a comparatively new name in the computer vision domain, but it's so powerful that it cannot be ignored. We will start by understanding what the OpenVINO toolkit is, examining its prerequisites and components, and exploring how we can use them individually and alongside OpenCV. We will not be building any end-to-end applications, but we will explore the computer vision application pipeline. Specifically, we will focus on OpenVINO's Model Zoo, inference engine, and model optimizer.
