1.1 Overview of IoT

The term Internet of Things (IoT) was first introduced in 1999 by Kevin Ashton in the RFID Journal. Later, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) came up with a unique idea for connectivity among the devices: Anyone will be able to have connectivity with anything (device to device or human to device) at any time or any place (with any other device or device in commute).
