Monday, Day 22 of 28
I woke up on Monday already stressed out. The fact that we only had five days to submit our new quote finally hit me, and I suddenly felt like a drowning person that is trying to come up for air. I was able to suppress the panic with my morning routine, but it returned as soon as I pulled up in front of Electronica’s office building at 9:00 AM. I tried to think about Emily and the thought of being able to see her again took the edge off. We spoke on the phone over the weekend, which went well, but I was looking forward to seeing her in person again.
As soon as I entered the lobby, I knew something was off. The receptionist did not even look at me, and a man carrying a cardboard box full of office decorations ...
