In recent years, the field of “film scoring” has expanded to include so many different areas that it is more appropriate to refer to the act of creating supporting dramatic music as scoring for media. Music for media refers to any composition that is designed to support the dramatic atmosphere of any medium, and the creation of music for media includes production track writing, scoring for television and radio commercials, film scoring, video game scoring, and more.
