#12: Stratification

Overview:	First, participants will work on an activity that frequently appears on intelligence tests and entrance tests for high-intelligence organizational groups. It asks participants to find a word that is linked to three other words in each entry. Participants will then shift to an exercise that will improve their ability to spot emerging trends.
Objective:	To help participants develop the ability to make associations.
Supplies:	• Worksheets #12-1 and #12-2• Flipchart paper• Masking tape
Time:	About 25 minutes
AdvancePreparation:	Make enough copies of the worksheets so that each participant has a copy of each. If possible, arrange the seating to permit small groups of three or four to work together.
