Chapter 10Getting the Help You Need
By now, you should fully understand that creating and managing a successful reward-based crowd funding campaign is no small undertaking, and that to reach or exceed your funding goal, you are going to need to master a wide range of different skills, successfully juggle a variety of responsibilities, utilize the resources at your disposal in the best possible way, and avoid taking any shortcuts.
If your funding goal is $10,000 or less, seriously consider handling most or all of the tasks associated with creating and managing your crowd funding campaign yourself or dividing up the responsibilities among people already on your team. Chances are, it won’t be within your budget to hire freelancers or pay experts to assist you in any meaningful ways. However, a lack of budget should not stop you from seeking out people willing to help you for free or at least wiling to offer their advice related to their area of expertise.
The free help you need could come from friends and family, volunteer organizations such as SCORE (www.score.org), or by working with college interns, for example.
