What do you think of when I mention the color blue? How about yellow? Chances are that more will come to mind than just an image of the color. Humans associate colors with everything from specific moods to seasons and times of day—and some people even associate them with letters of the alphabet, tastes, or sounds (page 86). Some of our responses are products of cultural conditioning, but others are linked to physical reactions within our brains.
