So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

What can we conclude from our grand tour of Dart? What have I learned in the process of working on Dart that might be worth conveying to you? What should have been done differently? In this brief chapter, we shall review the main lessons of Dart as it is, and Dart as it might be.

Optional typing has been proposed in one form or another for decades. Dart is the first mainstream programming language to support optional typing from its inception.
