Abstract

In this chapter, I examine the co-evolution of method (along with the technologies/tools that enable various methods) and theory in the social sciences. This is done with an eye towards understanding the eventual role of artificial intelligence1 (which, in the context of this chapter, I consider a part of robotics) in the future evolution of the social sciences.
